This is one of the classic early Fillmore images, featuring an Edmund Shea photograph of Lenny Bruce.  In his autobiography, Bill Graham claimed this as his favorite Fillmore poster.

The original/first print poster was printed on vellum paper stock, and bears a union printing logo (#72) in the lower left corner.  It measures approx.  14" x 20".

The second print poster, an authorized reprint, is very similar to the first print save one detail.  The number "13" was faintly scratched into the plate below "Santa Rosa".  It measures approx.  14 " x 20".  This poster was most probably printed later in 1966 or in early 1967.

There are two variations of the authorized third print posters.  One is printed on vellum stock, the other on uncoated index stock (similar to Fillmore originals printed in 1967 & 1968, which is when these posters were printed).  Neither the union logo, or "13" appear on either of these posters.  Both measure approx.  14" x 20".

In 1986, this poster was forged.  It is very similar to the third print poster that was printed on uncoated index.  The purple ink on this, the bootleg, is noticeably lighter than that of the third print poster, but generally one of each is needed for comparison.  The bootlegs seem to be quite rare, as Bill Graham went after (legally) the perpetrators as the existence of the posters became known.

The original handbill was printed prior to the shows on very thin paper.  It measures approx.  5 1/2" x 8 1/2"
