This is a very popular early psychedelic image, and these shows marked the first appearance of The Doors at a major San Francisco venue.  Bill Graham thought Morrison was incredible, and The Doors would appear at The Fillmore many more times.

The original/first print posters were printed on several different paper stocks, but they are roughly the same size (13 7/8" X 23 3/4").  We have two distinct variations at this time which match the paper stocks of the original handbills and original postcards.  One is printed on a thin index paper stock, the other on a thicker vellum stock.  If you are purchasing a BG 44 first print poster on our website, and have a paper stock preference, please let us know which you prefer.

The second print poster, an authorized reprint, was printed on a thicker uncoated index paper stock.  This stock is identical to the paper used to print Fillmore originals in 1967 & 1968, which is when this poster was reprinted.  This poster measures approx.  13 7/8" X 23 3/4".

The original blank backed handbill was printed prior to the shows on at least two different paper stocks, and measures approx.  4 5/8" X 8".  Some of these were hand stamped with a bulk rate rubber stamp and mailed.

The original postcard was printed prior to the shows on similar paper stock to the handbills (the stock of the cards does not match the stock of the reprint posters), and measures approx.  4 5/8" X 8".
