According to "Eric King's Guide To Psychedelic Poster Collecting", this poster was printed twice before the shows, and reprinted once after the shows.  We agree, and the characteristics of each printing is as follows.

The original/first print poster (which we will call Type A) was printed on a relatively thin paper stock, noticeably thinner than Type B.  In addition, on this poster there exists a very thin black line that runs from the left hand edge of the poster (just above the "G" in "GRATEFUL") to the top right corner of the poster (just above the "D" in "DEAD").  This thin black line separates the purple from the green on the top portion of the poster. It has been our experience that far fewer of these exist.

The original/first print poster (which we will call Type B) was printed on a somewhat thicker paper stock than the paper stock used to print Type A (but, not as thick as the paper stock used for the reprint).  The previously mentioned line (on Type A) does not exist on this poster.  Instead, there is a much thicker line (approx.  3/8" on the left edge) that runs across the poster.  This line is black, but not a pure black.

The second print poster was printed on index paper stock.  The same stock that was used to print Fillmore originals from mid 1967 thru 1968 which is most likely when this poster was printed.  The index stock is thicker than the paper stock used to print either of the originals.  In addition, the colors (greens & purples) are several shades lighter on this poster than on either original.  The line described on the Type B poster also exists on this poster, but it is a deep/pure black.

We have two variations of the original blank back handbills.  One matches the paper stock of the Type A original poster (we will call it Type A as well), and measures slightly less than 7" from top to bottom (it is 4 3/8" wide).

The Type B handbill matches the paper stock used to print the Type B poster. It is roughly 1/8"-3/16" "taller" than the Type A handbill (same width)

The original postcard was also printed prior to the shows, and measures approx.  4 3/8" X 7".
